Certainly far longer than 10 years; the first modern witchcraft movement in the US started in the 1960s; there have since been big revivals in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and beyond...social media has certainly made its spread far more pervasive but it blew up on the internet in the last 1990s too.

I guess I was thinking it felt like witches and witchcraft became more popular in the mainstream in the 2010s but now that I'm thinking of it, that may be more to do with the way our current media technology sort of skews what we see. And you're right about the 90s, witches were having a moment back then, too, now that I think more about it, with The Craft, Practical Magic, the original Sabrina, etc. Thanks so much for the clarification!
